A major medical device manufacturer approached our factory after hearing about our expertise. They sought to develop a medical injection molded dropper made of imported high-transparency material with ultra-precise specifications. Many injection molding factories they contacted failed to meet the critical requirement of a 0.5 mm inner diameter for the dropper hole. Achieving such extreme precision demands molds processed by imported high-speed precision machining equipment — a capability that Yistar fully possesses.
After receiving the client’s design drawings, our engineering team identified three major technical challenges to overcome:
- The diameter of the drip hole at the bottom of the dropper is strictly set at 0.5 mm with virtually no tolerance margin.
- The lower section of the dropper is fitted with precision threads for assembly with the matching cap. Any misalignment of the threads will lead to thread stripping.
- The product must be manufactured using imported medical-grade high-transparency raw materials.
These stringent requirements fully demonstrate our strong expertise in mold development for medical injection molded parts. After 28 days of rigorous work by the entire engineering team, the mold was successfully completed and sample production passed all tests. The product is now in full mass production. Subsequently, the client has transferred all their new medical injection molding projects to our factory for customized processing.
