l First-time buyers often miss: cheap and expensive molds are not the same tool at different prices—they are different tools.

$18,000 → 4cavity S136 + hot runner, >1M shots.
l Choose accordingly:
2,000 units for testing → $18,000 is overkill.
300,000 units/year for 5 years → $3,200 will break down and cost more in the long run.
